It Was A Red White & Blue Kind Of Day From The Beeginning To The End....

Yesterday was a day for celebration here in the USA....Celebration of our country's birthday and also the "Statue of Liberty" herself was celebrating a big milestone, her 125th birthday & boy does she look good for her age not one wrinkle...

My day started in a Red White & Blue kind of way.... I had so many things planned to do for the rest of the day ~ in a stay at home kind of way... Since my little Yellow Bug as been in the shop, I kind of take the opportunity when someone asks ~ neighbors, friends or family if I need anything or would I like to take the ride, I jump for the chance....

Well, I did that yesterday with my friend Robin & her adopted granddaughter Giovanna Grace... what should have taken no more than 3 hours took us 5 hours...so everything I had planned kind of back fire...  At first I was a little disappointed but I said to myself you did get some things accomplished ~ they were unexcepted things that needed to bee done...so I decided to turn a frown into a grin...

At the end of the day things turn at well, you see it was another special gal's birthday "my grandma" who would have been 104 yrs old...so in honor of her I ended my day with a nice cold creamy Root Beer Float (a special treat we would have at my grandma's farm) and I must say it put a real BIG smile on my face and warmth in my heart...So even though things didn't work out as I wanted them to do....it ended in a good way... I am truly blessed with all the things that I have in my LIFE ~ that includes my family & friends...

Let me finish by saying "God Bless You and God Bless America" and in the words of my grandma "God LOVE Ya'" Amen...

Have a honey of a night ~ sweet dREaMs!

Hi Marlene! I'm glad your 4th of july turned out ok. sorry to hear your sweet car is still in the shop. I know the parts for a VW are pretty expensive and sometimes hard to find. As for facebook, I get tired of it and dont do much with it. Not like blogging anyways. I like to take a peek to see what people are up too every couple days. And leave a post if I feel like it. The computer and internet are seriously time eaters. I havent done any work outside in so long! I need to get out there and off the computer!
lol.. yeah.. well.. we'll see.. LOL!
hey, love that magpie ethel piece you have!
have a great night
